White Floof Powder

Dear Diary,

Spring is just around the corner, with the grass peeking through the last layers of snow, the sun feeling warmer than it has in the past few months, and the few brave souls coming out in shorts to run errands.

In the spirit of Spring I decided to do a little bit of cleaning, sweep the patio, wash the windows, air out the pillows, even put away most of my winter gear; blue candles, ice pixs, thermometer, ice skates, hockey pucks, even my snow globe collection. Checking the weather forecast for next week it was nothing but sunny skies, a day or two of cloud cover but for the most part it was looking to be a bright sunny week!

...

The next morning.

...

Waking up to the sun shinning through the windows put a huge smile on my face. It's such a great way to wake up. After drinking my morning juice and changing out of my jammies, I went out to meet my friend Glen, we decided to explore the city together. Walking over to meet him the air was a bit chilly but the sun helped keep me warm, with some xtra help of my hat too.

Spotting Glen standing by the towns local convenience store, I wave towards him to grab his attention. Seeing me, he walks over and we both start making our way towards the train station. We decided to take the underground train, it will take us about 30 min to get there. During that time we caught up on our week, Glen spoke about this new sling shot ride he saw on TV, the ride allows only two people at a time, you are buckled in with a seat belt around the hips, and large padded arms close over your shoulders. Your feet dangle off the floor, and when they operator resets the ride, it raises itself a couple stories from the ground and angles the seats 45 degrees up toward the sky. Then like a sling shot they are sent up high as far as they can go before the elastic cables pull them back in the opposite direction. They say it's gotten so popular that the line up extends all the way to the entrance of the park.

Hearing this made me feel queesie, I don't know if I could stomach the experience but Glen is excited to try it out the next time he visits the amusement park. Before long we were approaching central station located at the heart of the city. Walking above ground we were already making plans on the things we wanted to do until, we saw the what was waiting for us outside.

Some time when we left to when we arrived, the sky decided to leave some floof powder for us as a welcome for visiting the city. Stepping outside from the shelter of the train station, a pile of snow fell from the top of the roof with so much force it sent my hat flying off my head. Glen who made the right decision to stay inside for a moment longer, started laughing at what just happened, making me smile back.

Welp....trying to make the most out of the situation, at least the sun is still out, and it was. For the rest of the day we explored the city with Sun shining above our heads, melting the floof powder away as if it had never happened.
